Consumer large format runs from 300 mm (Creality K1 Max, Qidi Plus 4) through 350 mm (K2 Plus, SV08) and 400 mm (Ender-5 Max, Kobra 3 Max, Neptune 4 Max) to 500 mm (SV08 Max) and the 800 mm OrangeStorm Giga. Above 300 mm, frame type decides everything: CoreXY with a fixed bed prints large parts fast; a 400 mm bedslinger must crawl. Only the K2 Plus, Qidi Max 4 and Bambu H2 series are large and heated, so large ABS lives there.

What size costs
- Time. Volume scales with the cube. A 400 mm helmet at 0.2 mm layers with a 0.4 mm nozzle is a multi-day print; a 0.6 or 0.8 mm nozzle is not optional at this scale.
- Bed heating. A 400 mm bed to 60 °C takes minutes and real power.
- Materials. ABS over 300 mm warps without a heated chamber. Only the K2 Plus, Max 4 and H2 series are large and heated.
- Frame. Bedslingers over 300 mm sling kilograms; expect ringing and slow profiles. CoreXY wins at size.
