Short answer

The K2 Plus is the biggest enclosed CoreXY Creality makes and the numbers back it up: 350 x 350 x 350 mm, a 350 degC nozzle, a 120 degC bed, a chamber to 60 degC, up to 600 mm/s and 30,000 mm/s2, with two AI cameras, active bed tilt calibration, active belt tensioning and CFS multi-colour up to sixteen filaments. It is 35 kg in a 495 x 515 x 640 mm footprint and draws 1200 W. Buy it if you need large enclosed parts in engineering materials; almost everything else is cheaper elsewhere.

This assessment is from Creality’s published specification rather than a workshop test. The K2 Plus is a genuinely ambitious machine, and the interesting question is not whether the numbers are good but what it takes to live with them.

30,000 mm/s2 and what makes it possible

That acceleration figure is the highest in Creality’s range and above the 20,000 mm/s2 that most fast machines quote. On a 350 mm gantry it is also the harder engineering problem, because a bigger moving mass rings more.

Three features exist to deal with that. Step-servo motors, which give closed-loop position control rather than open-loop stepping. Active belt tensioning, which keeps tension constant as belts warm and stretch. And active bed tilt calibration, which measures and compensates rather than assuming the bed stayed where it was. Together those are why Creality can also claim under 45 dB at 300 mm/s on a machine this size.

As always, the honest caveat: 600 mm/s is what the motion system can do, and melt flow plus cooling decide real print times. See volumetric speed for why.

Materials: the real reason to buy it

350 degC at the nozzle, 120 degC at the bed and a 60 degC chamber is a serious combination, and Creality’s supported list reflects it: PA-CF, PLA-CF, ASA and PPA-CF alongside the everyday materials. That covers most of what a small workshop needs for functional parts, and the 350 mm plate means you can print them large.

Two practical notes. Filled filaments are abrasive, so treat nozzles as consumables and keep hardened ones in stock. And PA and PPA absorb moisture quickly, so drying becomes routine rather than optional at this level.

CFS, and reading the combo footnote

Each CFS unit is 379 x 314 x 276 mm and 4.56 kg, holds four spools, reads RFID filament, detects run-out and tangles, relays automatically between spools and includes 20 W of drying. Four units chain for sixteen filaments.

The combo includes one unit. Sixteen colours means buying three more, and two or more units need a separate power source. Combo height also goes from 640 mm to 916 mm, which is a shelf-planning problem as much as a budget one.

What owning it demands

35 kg and a 495 x 515 x 640 mm footprint is a two-person lift onto a bench that does not flex. 1200 W is a real load; check the circuit if other equipment shares it. And the machine is loud above 300 mm/s whatever the quiet-mode figure says.

If large enclosed engineering parts are not your requirement, cheaper machines do the common jobs. The K1C gives 220 x 220 x 250 mm enclosed at 300 degC with a hardened nozzle; the Hi gives 260 x 260 x 300 mm with the same CFS for less; the Bambu P2S gives 256 mm cubed with a mature changer. Our K2 Plus overview, K1 Max vs K2 Plus and K2 Plus vs Bambu X1C cover those comparisons.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the K2 Plus? 350 x 350 x 350 mm of build volume, in a 495 x 515 x 640 mm machine weighing 35 kg.

What is the highest acceleration? 30,000 mm/s2, the highest in Creality’s range.

Can it print PPA-CF and PA-CF? Yes, both are on Creality’s supported list, helped by the 350 degC nozzle and 60 degC chamber.

How many colours? Sixteen with four CFS units; the combo includes one.
