Where it beats the V3 SE

  • Speed and acceleration. The SE is a 250 mm/s Marlin machine; the KE runs Klipper with input shaping and is genuinely twice as fast on typical parts.
  • Hotend. 300 °C versus 260 °C opens PETG-CF and higher-temperature PETG blends; a hardened nozzle is still required for abrasives.
  • Wi-Fi. Send jobs from the slicer instead of walking a card over.

Where it stops

  • Open frame. ABS and ASA warp; treat it as a PLA, PETG and TPU printer.
  • No camera or multi-colour path.
  • Bedslinger at 500 mm/s means the practical speed is set by ringing on tall parts, not by the spec sheet.

Against the Bambu A1 mini and A1

The A1 mini is smaller but fully automatic, with better first-layer reliability out of the box; the A1 is the same size as the KE, more automated and more expensive. The KE wins on openness (Klipper, root access, standard parts) and on price.
