Ender-3 V3 is a family, not one printer. The V3 SE is the budget Marlin bedslinger at 250 mm/s. The V3 KE is the Klipper-based 500 mm/s version with a 300 °C hotend. The V3 (no suffix) is a CoreXZ frame at 600 mm/s. The V3 Plus is the CoreXZ with a 300 × 300 × 330 mm bed. Pick by speed and size, not by name.
Where to buy
The four models
| Model | Build volume | Frame | Nozzle / bed | Speed / accel | Firmware |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| V3 SE | 220 × 220 × 250 mm | Bedslinger | 260 °C / 100 °C | 250 mm/s / 2500 mm/s² | Marlin |

| V3 | 220 × 220 × 250 mm | CoreXZ, bed moves in Y | 300 °C / 110 °C | 600 mm/s / 20000 mm/s² | Creality OS (Klipper) |

What CoreXZ changes
On the V3 and V3 Plus the toolhead moves in X and Z on crossed belts while the bed still moves in Y. The gain is a lighter, stiffer gantry that supports 20000 mm/s² without the ringing a lead-screw Z produces at speed. The bed still slings, so tall narrow parts remain the weak case, but the V3 is a noticeably better printer than the KE at the same size.
Which one
- Lowest price, learning the hobby, PLA only: V3 SE. Slow but proven; the most-reviewed printer on Amazon.
- Fast, Wi-Fi, PETG and TPU as well: V3 KE. See the KE page.
- Best print quality at 220 mm in this family: V3. Twice the acceleration of the KE and a 110 °C bed.
- Larger parts: V3 Plus. The only one over 220 mm.
What none of them is
Enclosed. All four are open frames for PLA, PETG and TPU. ABS and ASA warp at this size without an enclosure. Buyers who want ABS should compare the K1C instead; see the Ender 3 overview for how the legacy models fit in.
The units in the box
The listings are the V3 SE, the V3 KE and the V3 Plus. The plain V3 is sold through Creality directly and varies on Amazon.
FAQ
Do V3 SE parts fit the KE? Hotend and extruder families differ; plates and some frame parts are shared. Check by part number.
Is the V3 Plus a good large printer? For PLA and PETG at 300 mm, yes; for ABS, no.
