HMS 0700-9200-0001-0001 — Heater cooling fan is blocked
Short answer

HMS 0700-9200-0001-0001 means the cooling fan of AMS heater 1 is blocked, which may be due to the fan being stuck. The firmware watches the fan feedback, so it knows the difference between a fan running slowly and a fan not turning at all.

A drying chamber circulates warm air past a lot of filament dust. That dust ends up in the one place with a bearing.

Blocked is a strong word. The machine means it.

Where to buy

Confirm there is actually airflow

An anemometer held at the outlet turns a guess into a figure in CFM. A fan that spins but moves almost nothing is a different fault from one that does not spin, and only a measurement separates them.

Read the speed, not the sound

A non-contact tachometer reads the real RPM off a mark on the hub. Comparing that against what the firmware thinks tells you whether the feedback signal or the fan is the problem.

Clean it without wrecking the blades

An anti-static brush takes dust off a fan and a board without the static risk of a nylon household brush. Fan blades are thin, and a stiff brush bends them into the housing.

Then spin it by hand

With the AMS off, turn the fan with a fingertip. Smooth means the obstruction is gone; gritty means the bearing has taken the dust and the fan is the part.

How HMS 0700-9200-0001-0001 differs from no power

A fan that cannot start because the supply is missing is HMS 0700-9200-0002-0003. Blocked means it has power and cannot turn.

What a stalled fan does to the heater

It leads straight to HMS 0700-8000-0001-0004, abnormal heating, because the heat has nowhere to go. Fan choices are covered in cooling fans and exhaust fans.

HMS 0700-9200-0001-0001 FAQ

Can I run drying without it?

No, and the machine will keep refusing for good reason.

How often should I clean it?

Whenever you clean the AMS. Dust is the usual cause.

Why does it mention being stuck?

Because feedback shows power going in and nothing turning.

Is a noisy fan the same fault?

No, that is the low speed code. Measure the RPM.

Debris stops filament as surely as it stops a fan. HMS 0700-8700-0002-0003 means filament is blocked at the inlet of the Track Switch, which is a blockage at a point you can reach and look at.
