HMS 0700-9000-0001-0002 means the coil resistance of AMS exhaust valve 1 is abnormal, which may be due to abnormal wiring or damage. The valve is a solenoid, and a solenoid is a coil of wire with a number you can measure.
The exhaust valve is what lets humid air out of the drying chamber. When it stops working the AMS keeps heating and the moisture stays in.

Where to buy
Measure the coil properly
A component tester reads inductance and resistance together, which is what tells you whether a solenoid coil is intact or partly shorted. An ordinary meter sees only resistance and will pass a coil with shorted turns.
Know what the part is
These are small low-voltage solenoid valves, and having a normally-closed 12 V valve on the bench gives you a known-good coil to compare readings against. Comparison beats a figure from a datasheet you do not have.
Get the connector apart without breaking it
A pin extractor set releases a crimped contact from its housing so you can test it in isolation. Pulling on the wire instead is how an abnormal reading becomes an open circuit.
Then compare both ends
Measure at the valve and again at the board connector. The same reading means the loom is fine and the coil is the fault; a different reading means the wiring between them.
How HMS 0700-9000-0001-0002 differs from a sensor fault
A failed temperature sensor on the heater is HMS 0700-9400-0001-0001. An abnormal coil resistance is a power-side part rather than a sensing one.
What else moves air in the AMS
A blocked cooling fan is HMS 0700-9200-0001-0001. How the unit works is covered in printers with an AMS and AMS 2 Pro versus AMS.
HMS 0700-9000-0001-0002 FAQ
What does the exhaust valve do?
Lets humid air out while the chamber dries filament.
Can I print with it faulty?
Yes, but drying performance drops a long way.
Will a multimeter find it?
Sometimes. Shorted turns need an inductance reading.
Is the valve a user part?
The message points at support for the sensor side. Measure first.
Another coil with a number worth measuring. HMS 0700-8D00-0002-0008 means abnormal coil resistance on the IN-A side of the Track Switch, and it names the replacement assembly outright.
