HMS 0700-8D00-0002-0008 means an abnormal coil resistance was detected on the IN-A side of the Filament Track Switch, and the message refers you to the Wiki to replace the coil assembly. When a message names the replacement part, it has already done most of the diagnosis.
It is still worth measuring, because a connector in the path produces the same reading as a damaged coil.

Where to buy
Measure a small resistance properly
Kelvin clips give a four-wire connection, which is the only way to read a coil of a few ohms without measuring your own test leads as well. On a low-resistance part that difference is most of the reading.
Check that it actually pulls
A digital pull gauge tells you whether the actuator still develops force when it is energised. A coil that measures acceptably and pulls weakly is a coil on its way out, and the measurement alone would have missed it.
Be ready to unsolder cleanly
Desoldering braid lifts old solder off a pad without the heat a pump needs. On a coil assembly that is mounted to a small board, that is the difference between a replacement and a repair.
Then compare the two sides
Measure the IN-A coil and the IN-B coil the same way. Two similar readings mean the fault is elsewhere; a clear difference confirms what the message said.
How HMS 0700-8D00-0002-0008 differs from a sensor fault
A sensing problem on the same side is HMS 0700-8900-0002-0004. The coil moves the mechanism; the sensor reports where it went.
Another coil in the same system
A brushed motor with no signal reports HMS 0700-1000-0002-0004, which is the same measurement on a different part. Method is in troubleshooting and layout in the AMS hub guide.
HMS 0700-8D00-0002-0008 FAQ
Why four-wire?
Because a few ohms of lead resistance swamps a few ohms of coil.
Can I repair a coil?
No. The message says replace the assembly for good reason.
Could it be the connector?
Yes, and measuring at both ends separates them.
Does IN-B have its own code?
It does, with the same wording. The procedure is identical.
Calibration is what turns a part into a position. HMS 0500-0400-0002-0037 means the cutting module needs calibration to find the blade tip, and that offset changes every time you fit a blade.
