HMS 0700-1000-0002-0002 means the AMS slot motor is overloaded, and Bambu says the filament may be tangled or stuck. Overloaded is the useful word: the motor is pulling hard against something rather than spinning freely against nothing. That rules out a worn wheel and points at resistance somewhere in the path.
Slipping and overloading are opposite failures, and this code is the second one.

Where to buy
The spool, before the machine
Take the spool out and pull a metre of filament off by hand. If it does not come easily, the printer never had a chance. A strand that has slipped under a coil is the classic cause, and it locks the whole spool solid while looking perfectly normal from outside.
How the tangle happens
Almost always when the end was released during handling and wound back under tension. That is why it appears on a spool you have already used successfully, part way through, rather than on a new one.
Then the path
A guide tube with a tight bend, a tube that has been crushed, or a spool that binds on its holder all add load. Check the tube along its whole length and spin the spool on the holder to feel for drag — see the AMS hub guide for how the path is routed.
Then the far end
If the spool is free and the path is clear, the resistance is downstream. A clog in the toolhead means the AMS is pushing against solid plastic, and that reports separately as 0700-7000-0002-0001, where the extruder may be clogged or the filament broken. Reading which code you have tells you which end to open.
Brittle filament is its own cause
Filament that has absorbed moisture snaps rather than feeding, and a broken fragment wedged in the path produces a genuine overload. If the spool has been open on a shelf for months, that is the likeliest explanation — storage is covered in filament storage.
HMS 0700-1000-0002-0002 FAQ
Can I just retry?
Once, after checking the spool. Repeatedly driving a motor against a tangle strips filament and makes the path worse.
Why only one slot?
Because the fault is that slot’s spool or its tube. A fault affecting every slot points at the shared path or the assist motor.
Is a tangle recoverable?
Usually. Unwind past the crossing point by hand and rewind it under light tension. The filament itself is undamaged.
Does it damage the AMS?
Not if you stop. The overload detection exists so the motor does not keep pulling against something immovable. A scored or crushed guide tube is worth ruling out too — see PTFE tube.
