HMS 0300-2800-0001-0001 means the force sensor data from the cutting module is abnormal, and the message names two causes: the magnet on the tool holder may have fallen off, or the force sensor itself may be damaged. The cheap cause is listed first for a reason, so check it first.
The force sensor measures how hard the blade is pressing. A magnet that has let go removes the reference the sensor measures against, and the reading goes strange rather than going away.

Where to buy
Have the magnet before you need it
These are small rare-earth discs, typically 10 mm across and a few millimetres thick. A pack of 10×3 mm neodymium discs costs less than the postage on a service part, and having one in a drawer turns an evening into five minutes.
Bond it so it stays bonded
A two-part epoxy is what holds a magnet in a pocket that gets warm and shaken. Instant glue goes brittle and lets go again in a month, which is how the same code comes back.
Open the holder without damaging it
A precision screwdriver set with the small Torx and Phillips bits is what the tool holder is assembled with. Using a driver that is one size down rounds the head and turns a repair into a bigger repair.
Then decide which cause you have
Refit the magnet, run the cutting calibration and watch whether the reading settles. If it does not, the sensor itself is the fault and that is a part rather than a fix.
How HMS 0300-2800-0001-0001 differs from a homing failure
A cutting module that cannot find Z gives HMS 0300-2800-0001-0005 instead. That one is mechanical obstruction; this one is a measurement that no longer makes sense.
When the toolhead itself is involved
A fault reported against the toolhead module is HMS 0500-0300-0001-0002. General diagnosis order is in 3D print troubleshooting, and the machine is described in the Bambu Lab H2D.
HMS 0300-2800-0001-0001 FAQ
Which magnet does it mean?
The one on the tool holder, not on the plate. It is small.
Can I print while it is showing?
Printing, usually. Cutting, no: the reading gates it.
Is the sensor replaceable on its own?
Treat it as a module. Refit the magnet first.
Why does it read abnormal rather than zero?
Because the magnet biases the sensor. Remove it and the baseline moves.
Cutting hardware has its own sensor faults. HMS 07FE-4500-0002-0001 means the filament cutter sensor is malfunctioning, and the message names the connector because an unseated plug causes it far more often than a dead switch.
