Creality K1 error 2561 means communication with the print head controller is abnormal, and Creality’s instruction is to check the wiring connection and restart. On a K1 that signal travels down a loom which flexes on every layer of every print, so the cable is the first suspect, the connectors are the second, and the board is a distant third.
Three codes describe this one cable in slightly different words, and all three end in the same place.

Where to buy
Where that loom fails
Not in the middle. Cables break at the sharpest bend and where they are clamped, which on a K1 means at the exit from the print head and at the point the loom turns as the carriage moves. Look for a flattened section, a permanent kink, or a shiny patch where it rubs on a frame edge.
Both ends, then provoke it
Reseat at the head and at the mainboard — and the mainboard end is the one people skip, which is exactly the point Creality makes in a neighbouring code. Then flex the loom gently with the printer on and watch whether the fault appears and clears.
Recent work is the strongest clue
Nozzle changes, hotend swaps and fan replacements all disturb the same bundle. If anyone has been inside the print head in the last few days, start there and you will usually finish there too.
How Creality K1 error 2561 sits among its neighbours
A link that answers too slowly is 2344. One that fails while the machine is idle, with the fault at the board terminal, is 3002. The maintenance sequence covering all of them is 2060, which gives you three steps in order of cost.
Why it matters more than it sounds
Everything the head reports shares this path: temperatures, fans, the filament sensor. A marginal loom therefore produces a rotating cast of unrelated-looking faults. If you have seen several head-related codes in a week, stop treating them separately and replace the cable. How the assembly fits together is in the hotend explainer.
Creality K1 Error 2561 FAQ
Can I print while it appears intermittently?
No. If the board cannot trust what the head reports, it cannot control temperature safely.
Is the hotend board likely at fault?
Rarely, and it is the expensive answer. Prove the cable and both connectors first.
Does the replacement cable need to match my model?
Yes. K1, K1C, K1 SE and K1 Max share a design but not every part number.
Would a firmware update help?
No. A marginal conductor is a physical problem and no build changes that.
