Creality K1 Error 2340 — Heater temperature out of range
Short answer

Creality K1 error 2340 means a heater was asked for a temperature outside its permitted range, and the message names the heater along with the requested value and the limits. Reading which heater it is — nozzle, bed or chamber — narrows the cause immediately, because the three have very different sensible ranges.

The printer refuses before heating rather than after, which is the safe order to fail in.

This one names which heater. That word does most of the diagnosis.

Where to buy

Compare the three numbers

The message gives you what was asked for and both limits. A request slightly above the maximum is one aggressive setting. A request far outside, or a negative number, means the profile is for different hardware entirely or a script is computing something wrong.

If it names the nozzle

Too high usually means a profile written for a higher-rated hotend: polycarbonate, nylon and some carbon-filled blends want temperatures a standard assembly is not rated for. Too low means a standby or cooling step going further than permitted, which is the same family as 2111.

If it names the bed

A bed target copied from a machine with a higher-rated plate produces this. Beds have a lower ceiling than people expect, and ABS profiles from other printers routinely exceed it.

If it names the chamber

There is no chamber heater on a K1 — the enclosure is warmed by the bed and hotend. A profile that tries to set a chamber temperature is asking for hardware that does not exist.

How Creality K1 error 2340 differs from 2019

Both are range refusals and they overlap heavily. The practical difference is that this one is phrased per heater, so it tells you where to look without guesswork. The general version is 2019, and the fix is the same: correct the profile rather than raise the limits.

When the printer is wrong about the current temperature

A sensor reporting nonsense can make a perfectly reasonable request fail the range check. If the displayed temperature looks implausible before any job starts, suspect the sensor — the nozzle version is 2509 and the measurement approach is in 3D printer thermistors.

Creality K1 Error 2340 FAQ

Can I raise the configured limits?

They describe what the hardware tolerates. Running past them degrades PTFE, cooks insulation and eventually costs more than the print.

Why does it mention a heater I do not have?

Because the profile is asking for one. That is itself the diagnosis.

It happens at the end of a print. Why?

An end script is setting a target. Cooling steps leave the range as easily as heating ones.

Is this a hardware fault?

Almost never. It is a request being refused, and requests come from files.
