Best 3D Printers for Carbon Fiber Filament: Hardened Nozzle, Enclosure, 300 °C+

Carbon-fibre filament is abrasive, so the printer needs a hardened steel nozzle and ideally a hardened drive gear; brass wears out in a spool. PLA-CF and PETG-CF then print on any 300 °C machine. PA-CF, PAHT-CF and PPA-CF also need 280 to 320 °C and a heated chamber to avoid cracking. Ships ready: Elegoo Centauri Carbon, Creality K1C, Bambu X1C. Needs a nozzle swap: Bambu A1, P1S, P2S. For CF-nylon: Qidi Q2 or Plus 4, Creality K2 Plus, Bambu H2S.

Picks
- PLA-CF and PETG-CF on a budget: Centauri Carbon or K1C, no upgrade needed.
- CF-nylon and PPA regularly: Qidi Q2 or Plus 4; the cheapest heated chambers with 370 °C.
- Already own a Bambu A1 or P1S: fit a hardened nozzle and stay with PLA-CF and PETG-CF.
See carbon-fibre printing for settings and PA-CF for the nylon case.

FAQ
Is CF filament stronger? Stiffer, not tougher; it reduces warping and improves surface finish.
Will one spool ruin a brass nozzle? Often, yes.
