HMS 0C00-0100-0002-0006 — Lidar extrinsic parameter abnormal
Short answer

HMS 0C00-0100-0002-0006 means the micro lidar extrinsic parameter is abnormal. Extrinsic parameters describe where the lidar sits relative to the toolhead, so this is a complaint about geometry and mounting rather than about the sensor electronics. That is good news, because geometry is the part you can influence.

The word is unhelpful and the meaning is not. Internal optics are intrinsic; position is extrinsic.

Extrinsic means where it is, not how it works. That narrows things.

Where to buy

Check how the module is sitting

A module held a fraction out of plane reads a surface that is not where the machine thinks it is. Look for a fastener that was never fully seated and for a housing that rocks when you press one corner. A feeler gauge tells you about a gap your eye will insist is not there.

Clear the mounting face before you tighten

A chip of purge behind a mount holds a module at an angle no amount of torque corrects, and torque is what people reach for. Clean the face, offer the module up dry, confirm it sits flat, then tighten.

Then stop it moving again

If the same module drifts out of position repeatedly, a drop of medium-strength blue thread locker on the fasteners is the answer rather than more force. Over-tightening a small fastener into a plastic boss strips the boss, and that is a bigger repair than the one you were attempting.

Confirm the reference you are working to

Eyeballing square on a toolhead is how a one-degree error becomes permanent. A small combination square against the mounting face gives you something better than an opinion, and you only need it to be honest once. The same logic applies to a crooked camera mount in HMS 0C00-0400-0002-0019.

What HMS 0C00-0100-0002-0006 is not

It is not a new module, which reports as HMS 0C00-0200-0001-0005. It is not the calibration chart being dirty either, which is HMS 0C00-0100-0001-000B. This code says the stored geometry does not make sense.

When it survives everything

A module that is genuinely square and still reports this needs support, because the remaining possibilities are inside it. Say what you checked. The machine itself is described in the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon.

HMS 0C00-0100-0002-0006 FAQ

What does extrinsic mean here?

Where the lidar is, relative to the toolhead. Not how its optics work.

Can I fix it myself?

The mounting side, yes. The stored parameters are not user-editable.

Will recalibrating clear it?

Only if the geometry is right first. Calibrating a crooked module stores a crooked answer.

Is my printer unusable?

No, but flow calibration will be unreliable until this is resolved.
