HMS 0C00-0400-0002-0018 means blade offset calibration failed. Bambu tells you to run the cutting module offset calibration in the Toolbox and, if it persists, to check for blade tip wear. That second instruction is the one worth taking seriously, because a worn tip cannot be calibrated around.
A blade tip is a few tenths of a millimetre of geometry. You are not going to judge it by looking.

Where to buy
Run the routine once from the Toolbox
Do it properly rather than repeatedly: material flat, bed clear, nothing under the sheet. One honest attempt tells you more than four rushed ones, and if it succeeds you are finished.
Then actually look at the tip
At twenty times magnification a rounded or chipped tip is obvious, and at arm’s length it is invisible. A USB microscope on the bench is the tool that turns this instruction into something you can carry out; without magnification you are guessing and the message knows it.
Handle the blade with tweezers, not fingers
Blade holders are small, the blade is sharp, and finger oils on a tip do not help a measurement. Precision tweezers give you control over something you should not be pinching, and they keep the tip off your skin. Precision handling of small parts comes up again in HMS 0C00-0200-0001-0005.
Give yourself a surface to work over
A self-healing cutting mat on the bench catches a dropped blade instead of letting it bounce, and it gives you a flat non-marking surface to inspect on. It is the cheapest safety item in this article.
Why HMS 0C00-0400-0002-0018 is not a marker problem
Knowing where to cut and cutting accurately are different jobs. The alignment complaint is HMS 0C00-0400-0002-0017, and it fires before the blade ever moves. This one fires when the geometry of the cut itself will not resolve.
Check the thickness figure too
Blade depth is set from measured thickness, so a wrong thickness makes an offset calibration fail for reasons that have nothing to do with the blade. That code is HMS 0C00-0400-0002-0023, and the platform is described in the Bambu Lab H2D.
HMS 0C00-0400-0002-0018 FAQ
How do I judge tip wear?
Under magnification. A rounded or chipped tip is clear at twenty times and invisible without it.
How many times should I rerun the calibration?
Once properly. Repeating it without changing anything is not a diagnosis.
Can a wrong thickness cause this?
Yes, because depth is derived from thickness.
Does the material matter?
Flat matters most. A curled sheet defeats the routine regardless of the blade.
