HMS 0700-8700-0002-0009 is an AMS setup error: the Filament Track Switch was detected online, but filament did not pass through it. The message asks you to check the PTFE tube connection between the AMS and the switch, which is where the filament is going instead.
Electrically everything is fine. Mechanically the filament is taking a path that does not end where the machine expects.

Where to buy
Cut the tube square
A PTFE tube cutter gives a flat end that seats fully into a fitting. A tube cut with side cutters is oval and sits proud, which leaves a step for filament to catch on exactly here.
Take the burr off the bore
A deburring tool with a fine blade removes the lip a cut leaves inside the tube. That lip is invisible and it is what stops filament entering the fitting.
Replace the collet clips you lost
Collet clips are what stop a tube creeping back out of a push-fit under load. A fitting without its clip holds for a while and then lets go mid-setup, which reads exactly like this message.
Then push each tube home and feel it click
Disconnect and reseat every tube between the AMS and the switch. A tube that is a few millimetres short of home leaves a gap the filament will find.
How HMS 0700-8700-0002-0009 differs from a blocked inlet
Filament jammed at the entry is HMS 0700-8700-0002-0003. This code means the filament never got as far as the inlet.
What it stops you finishing
Setup cannot complete, which also leaves the binding wrong, as in HMS 0700-8600-0001-0004. Routing is shown in the AMS hub guide and the system in printers with an AMS.
HMS 0700-8700-0002-0009 FAQ
Which tube should I check first?
The one from the named AMS to the switch inlet. Both ends.
Does tube length matter?
Mostly its seating. A short tube will not reach the stop.
Can I reuse an old tube?
If the end is square and the bore is clean, yes.
Why does setup fail rather than printing?
Because setup is when the path is proved end to end.
Physical arrangement matters as much as wiring. HMS 0500-0400-0001-0025 reports an abnormal AMS connection and points you at the Wiki for adjustment, which means set up wrong rather than broken.
