HMS 0300-C000-0001-0002 affects the Bambu H2 and P2S. The filter switch flap decides whether air goes through the filter or straight through, and a flap stuck open means ABS fumes pass unfiltered.
Short answer

HMS 0300-C000-0001-0002 means the filter switch flap is not moving as commanded. This flap decides whether chamber air is pushed through the filter or allowed to pass straight through, which makes it the part that actually delivers the filtration you paid for. A flap stuck in the wrong position means the filter is bypassed and nothing tells you except this code.

Difficulty easy Time 20-40 min Parts usually nothing Tools Hex keys, torch

Affected machines: H2 and P2S. The machine changes this setting by material: filtration engaged for ABS, ASA and anything that emits, bypassed for PLA where the priority is moving heat rather than cleaning air.

Cost of settling HMS 0300-C000-0001-0002: a hex key set is about 14 dollars, a tool kit 16 dollars, and the auxiliary fan on the same air path 87 dollars.
The flap itself is a mechanism. The fan is on the list because it shares the air path and a stalled fan produces similar symptoms.

Why this one matters more than it looks

A stuck chamber flap costs you temperature control. A stuck filter flap can cost you air quality, and that is a different kind of problem. If it is stuck in the bypass position and you print ABS, the machine is venting styrene into the room while the filter sits doing nothing.

So the practical advice while it is broken is material-based: print PLA and PETG freely, and hold off on ABS, ASA and anything filled until the flap works or you have external extraction running.

The fault itself is almost always mechanical. Filter housings collect dust by design, and dust plus a warm chamber makes a paste that holds a light flap in position. A clean and a hand test settle most of these.

Symptom

Printer reports the filter switch flap is malfunctioning or stuck

Most likely cause

Dust binding the flap, an obstruction, a detached linkage, or a loose actuator connector

The fix
  1. Power off at the wall and let the chamber cool.
  2. Open the filter path and inspect the flap and its housing with a torch.
  3. Move the flap by hand through its travel, noting where it binds.
  4. Clean dust from the flap, the housing and the filter seat with a soft brush.
  5. Check the linkage for a clip that has come off, then reseat the actuator connector.
  6. Replace the filter if it has never been changed, since a swollen filter can foul the flap directly.

Change the filter while you are in there. A filter that has been in place for a year is both the likely source of the dust and the thing most likely to be pressing on the flap, and it is cheap compared with everything else on this machine.

The chamber version of this fault is chamber temperature switching flap failed, and the fan on the same path is the auxiliary fan fault. Our page on extraction and filtration explains what the filter removes, and the troubleshooting index covers the rest.

HMS 0300-C000-0001-0002 FAQ

Can I print ABS while this is broken?

Not without external extraction. If the flap is stuck in bypass, the filter is doing nothing.

Is PLA affected?

Barely. PLA is the material this flap normally bypasses the filter for anyway.

How often should the filter be changed?

Follow the machine’s guidance, and sooner if you print a lot of ABS or ASA. An old filter can foul the flap.

Is there a replacement flap?

Not as a retail part. Clean it, free it, and check the linkage; that resolves nearly all of them.
