HMS 0300-A100-0001-0001: open the top cover and front door immediately, because the root cause is chamber heat with nowhere to escape. Affects A2L, H2 and P2S.
Short answer

The chamber is hotter than the machine allows. Open the top cover and the front door now. Then work out why heat had nowhere to go, because the fix is ventilation rather than waiting.

Difficulty easy Time 10-30 min Parts none to under $130 Tools None for diagnosis

Affected machines: A2L, H2, P2S. This is a protective limit rather than a component failure, and the immediate action is the same regardless of cause.

Sources raising chamber temperature: the heated bed is the largest, a warm room adds directly, and a long print in a closed box accumulates heat.
The bed is the biggest heater in the machine. An enclosure exists to trap that heat, which is exactly what helps ABS and what cooks PLA.

PLA in a hot box is the usual story

An enclosure exists to trap the heat the bed produces, which is what ABS and ASA need. PLA needs the opposite. Printing PLA with the covers closed, especially with a high bed temperature in a warm room, accumulates heat through a long print until the limit trips.

The symptom before the code is worth recognising: PLA parts that get progressively worse as the print goes up, soft overhangs, and a hotend that starts jamming after several hours. That is chamber heat rising, and the code is the last stage of it.

Symptom

Code appears part-way through a long print, often on PLA with the enclosure closed

Most likely cause

Bed heat trapped in a closed chamber, warm ambient room, or blocked ventilation

The fix
  1. Open the top cover and the front door immediately and let the chamber drop.
  2. Check whether the print is PLA. If so, run it with the covers open as standard rather than as a workaround.
  3. Lower the bed temperature to the minimum the material needs; the bed is the largest heat source in the machine.
  4. Move the printer away from direct sun, radiators and other heat sources, and check the room temperature itself.
  5. If the machine has an exhaust or filtration unit, confirm it is running and that its inlet and outlet are not blocked.
  6. For a machine that prints long jobs in a warm room, fit extraction so heat leaves continuously rather than accumulating.

Do not defeat the limit. It exists because sustained chamber heat degrades the electronics and softens printed parts inside the machine itself, including some of its own components on certain models.

Our page on exhaust and extraction covers moving heat and fumes out of an enclosure, which is the permanent fix when opening the door is not practical. Enclosed printers covers when the enclosure helps and when it hurts, and the troubleshooting index covers the rest.

FAQ

Should I print PLA with the door closed? Generally no. PLA prefers cool air and an enclosure works against it.

Can I disable the limit? Do not. It protects electronics and internal printed parts.

Does a filter unit help with heat? A filtration unit that moves air does. A passive carbon filter does not.

Why part-way through a print? Heat accumulates. Short prints finish before the limit is reached.
