HMS 0300-2500-0001-0002 — Right extruder sensor, low sensitivity
Short answer

HMS 0300-2500-0001-0002 means low sensitivity was detected in the right extruder eddy current sensor, and Bambu adds the instruction that matters: check the nozzle installation. The sensor measures the nozzle through a magnetic field, so a nozzle that is not seated properly reads weakly.

It is a sensor complaint with a mechanical answer, which is the useful thing to know before you order a part.

The message names the fix itself: check the nozzle installation.

Where to buy

Reseat the nozzle properly

An eddy current sensor senses metal at a set distance. A nozzle that is a fraction proud, cross-threaded or not pushed fully home sits further from the sensor than the design expects, and the signal falls off quickly with distance. Take it out and refit it rather than nipping it tighter.

Use a wrench that fits the flats

These assemblies come apart with a nozzle wrench or hotend socket, and a rounded flat on a hot assembly ends the evening. The tool costs less than the nozzle it protects, which makes it the cheapest insurance in the drawer.

Check the nozzle itself

A worn or damaged tip changes what the sensor sees as well as what the plastic does. If you print abrasive material at all, a hardened steel nozzle is the lasting answer — the fits and threads are in the Bambu Lab nozzle guide.

Then look at the silicone sock

A sock that has slipped can sit between the nozzle and the sensor, and a torn one lets material creep into exactly that gap. Fit a new one rather than reusing a split sock; they are consumables and they cost very little.

How HMS 0300-2500-0001-0002 pairs with the left-hand code

The same complaint on the left extruder is HMS 0300-2600-0001-0002. Reading which side the message names saves you dismantling the wrong toolhead, which is the commonest wasted hour on a dual machine.

Its opposite number

If the signal is too strong rather than too weak you get HMS 0300-2500-0001-0007, which points at the heat sink being too close. Same sensor, opposite direction, different cause. Nozzle sizes and threads are compared in 0.4 mm nozzles.

HMS 0300-2500-0001-0002 FAQ

Is the sensor broken?

Usually not. The message tells you to check the nozzle first for a reason.

Can I tighten the nozzle more?

No. Refit it properly. Over-tightening damages the seat and changes nothing.

Does the nozzle material matter?

Yes, to the sensor as well as to wear. Fit a nozzle made for the machine.

Will it stop my prints?

It stops reliable offset calibration, which eventually shows up in multi-material work.
