Creality K1C: The Enclosed CoreXY That Made the K1 Obsolete

The K1C is a 220 × 220 × 250 mm enclosed CoreXY with a 300 °C hotend, 100 °C bed, 600 mm/s and 20000 mm/s². Over the K1 it adds a clog-resistant extruder, a hardened tri-metal nozzle for carbon-fibre filament and an AI camera as standard. It is the Creality to buy at this size; the K1 is only worth it heavily discounted, and the K1 Max is the same recipe at 300 mm.
The K1 launched Creality into the fast enclosed CoreXY market and shipped with a few known weaknesses: an extruder that clogged on abrasives, a camera you had to buy separately and inconsistent bed sensing. The K1C is the K1 with those fixed. Creality also says the 2025 revision is ready for its CFS multi-colour unit.

What changed from the K1
- Extruder and nozzle. The K1 chewed abrasive filament and clogged with heat creep. The K1C extruder and hardened nozzle fix both, which is why carbon-fibre filament is on its supported list.
- Camera included. On the K1 it was an add-on.
- Quiet mode. The K1C adds a switchable silent mode; the K1 was loud at speed.

K1C against the field
Against the K1 Max the difference is size and lidar; see K1C vs K1 Max. Against the Bambu P1S the K1C is smaller by 36 mm on each axis, cheaper, and has open Klipper firmware; the P1S has the AMS ecosystem and more consistent out-of-box calibration. Against the Elegoo Centauri Carbon the K1C gives up bed size but keeps the Creality spares network.
Limits
- 220 mm is small for a machine this fast; many buyers wish they had bought the Max.
- Passive chamber, 300 °C: ABS and ASA are fine, PC and nylon are possible with care, PPA is out.
- Bed sensing is strain-gauge based; a dirty nozzle tip causes first-layer misses. Wipe it before each print.
