Bambu Lab H2D Combo: AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT and the Laser Editions Explained

The H2D is sold as the printer alone, as a Combo with the AMS 2 Pro, and in Laser editions with a 10 W or 40 W laser module, cutting blade and pen. The AMS HT, a single-spool heated unit for PPA, PA-CF and TPU, is a separate add-on that suits the H2D more than any other Bambu. Buy the Combo for multi-colour and dried filament; buy a Laser edition only if you will actually cut and engrave.

Why the AMS HT matters here
The H2D exists for engineering filaments and two-material jobs. Those filaments, PA-CF, PPA-CF, PC, and TPU for gaskets, are exactly what the four-slot AMS 2 Pro handles worst: TPU does not feed through it and hygroscopic high-temperature filament wants a dedicated heated box. The AMS HT is one spool, heated, feeding one nozzle. An H2D with an AMS 2 Pro on nozzle one and an AMS HT on nozzle two is the configuration that uses the machine as designed. Laser editions
The laser turns the H2D into a small engraver and cutter with the same work area, air assist and the flame-retardant chamber. It is convenient, not a dedicated laser: a standalone 40 W diode engraver has a larger bed for less. Buy the Laser edition if desk space is the constraint and cutting is occasional.
