Bambu Lab P2S Combo: The AMS 2 Pro Makes This One the Default

The P2S Combo pairs the P2S with the AMS 2 Pro, which stores four spools sealed and dries them to 65 °C while printing. That removes a separate dryer from most shopping lists, which is why the Combo is a stronger recommendation here than the P1S Combo was. Buy the P2S alone only if you print one material in a dry room and already own a dryer.

Why drying changes the decision
Most P1S Combo owners bought a dryer within months because the first-gen AMS only stores. The AMS 2 Pro heats, so PETG, nylon and PETG-CF stay printable without a second appliance. See drying filament for temperatures, and AMS 2 Pro vs AMS for the differences in full.
When the P2S alone is enough
- PLA only, dry climate.
- Owners with a dryer and a first-gen AMS from a P1S, which works on the P2S.
- Budget-first buyers who will add the AMS 2 Pro later; it is sold separately.
Traps
- TPU does not go through the AMS 2 Pro; use the external holder or an AMS HT.
- Purge waste is the same as on any single-nozzle system; tune flush volumes.
- P1S hotends do not fit the P2S; see the P2S page.

FAQ
Does the P2S Combo include the AMS HT? No; the AMS HT is a separate single-spool unit.
