The Kobra S1 gives you a hotter hotend (320 vs 300 °C), a feeder that dries filament and a lower price. The P1S gives you a slightly larger 256 mm bed, more consistent auto-calibration, Bambu Studio and a far deeper spares and mod ecosystem. First printer, low tolerance for tinkering: P1S, or better the P2S. Humid room, engineering filaments, budget: Kobra S1 Combo.

Where the Kobra S1 wins
- Filament drying in the feeder, which the first-generation AMS does not do. For PETG and nylon owners this removes a separate dryer.
- Higher nozzle and bed temperatures for ASA and small nylon parts.

- Calibration out of the box: flow, resonance and belt checks that reduce the manual tuning most owners do on the Kobra S1.
- Bambu Studio and the MakerWorld profile ecosystem.
- Spares, plates, hotends and mods available everywhere.
- Up to 16 spools across four AMS units, against 8 for two ACE Pro units.
The P2S caveat
The P2S replaced the P1S with a tool-less hotend, 1080p camera and an AMS 2 Pro that dries filament, which removes most of the Kobra S1’s advantages at a higher price. If the budget stretches, read P1S vs P2S and compare the Kobra S1 Combo with the P2S Combo instead.
