The SV08 was built to be enclosed: its aluminium extrusion frame takes panel kits the way a Voron does, and a polycarbonate panel set with a top and a door turns it into a proper ABS and ASA chamber that holds 45 to 55 °C. Buy a kit made for the SV08, add a vent or filter, and keep the electronics bay cool, because the SV08 puts its board and power supply under the bed.
Unlike a bed-slinger in a tent, an enclosed SV08 is a genuine enclosed CoreXY: the bed does not travel, the frame is rigid, and the panels seal to the extrusions. That is why the SV08 enclosure kits are polycarbonate panels rather than fabric, and why an enclosed SV08 prints ABS about as well as printers costing twice as much. The trade is heat around the electronics, which the Voron design handles with fans and a vented bottom, and which a panel kit must not block.

Using it
- PLA and PETG: door or vent open. A sealed chamber above 35 °C causes heat-creep clogs on a PTFE-lined hotend.
- ABS and ASA: close it, preheat with the bed at 100 °C for 15 minutes, keep part cooling low. Lifting means a cold chamber; cracks mean too much fan.
- Vent to a window or a carbon filter for ABS and ASA.
- Smoke detector above the enclosure, always.
FAQ
Does an enclosed SV08 need a chamber heater? No; the 350 mm bed at 100 °C warms the chamber to ABS temperatures on its own.
Will PLA print with the panels on? Take the top off or open the door; a sealed SV08 gets too warm for PLA.
Do the electronics overheat? Not if the bottom stays vented and the skirt fans run. Do not block them.
