Sovol SV01 to SV04: All Discontinued, What Now

The SV01, SV02, SV03 and SV04 are all discontinued. Sovol no longer lists any of them as products; only spare parts for some remain, and the SV04 page that still exists is for the extruder, not the printer. If you want a current Sovol, the range is the SV06 Plus ACE (300 x 300 x 350 mm, 500 mm/s, 15,000 mm/s2), the SV08 (350 x 350 x 345 mm, 700 mm/s, 40,000 mm/s2), the SV08 Max, the Zero and the M1D. Buy a used SV0x only at a used price, and only if you enjoy tinkering.
These four model numbers still get searched because the SV01 in particular was a well-liked budget direct-drive machine, and the SV04 was one of the few affordable IDEX printers. Both are now history, and it is better to know that up front than to discover it after ordering.

What happened to the SV0x line
Sovol’s current product sitemap lists the SV08, SV08 Max, SV06 Plus ACE, Zero and M1D, plus the Comgrow T300 and T500. The SV01 through SV04 do not appear as printers at all. What remains are accessories: hotends, heat breaks, build plates and extruder assemblies for some of the older models.
That parts availability is the one genuinely useful thing for existing owners. A bi-metal heat break for the SV04 and SV01 Pro is still listed, for example, and SV06 family plates and hotends are well stocked. But do not plan a purchase around parts that may disappear next year.
Should you buy a used one
Only at a used price, and only with your eyes open. The realistic issues with any machine of that generation are a worn or warped build surface, a stretched belt, an aging hotend, and firmware that predates the features people now take for granted. None of those are hard to fix if you like fixing printers; all of them are annoying if you wanted to print.
The SV04’s IDEX layout is the one case where a used purchase has a specific appeal: two independent extruders on separate carriages, which is genuinely useful for dissolvable supports and duplicate-mode printing. If that is the reason you are looking, know that modern alternatives solve multi-material differently, with filament changers or tool changers. Our page on dual-extruder printers covers those routes.
Ask any seller for the exact model name, whether the hotend is original, and how the build sheet looks. And be honest with yourself about what a working printer of this class costs new today, because the gap is smaller than it used to be.

Frequently asked questions
Can I still buy an SV01, SV02, SV03 or SV04 new? No. None of them appear in Sovol’s current product listings.
