The CORE One+ (Gen 2) is a 250 × 220 × 270 mm enclosed CoreXY with a 290 °C Nextruder, 120 °C bed and a 55 °C actively heated chamber with smart ventilation so PLA prints with the door closed. It takes the MMU3 and the INDX toolchanger for 4 to 8 tools. Fully open source. It is the Prusa for ABS, ASA and engineering filaments, and the answer to the Bambu P1S and X1C.

What it does that others do not
- Heated chamber at this price class. 55 °C actively controlled puts it in the same material class as the Qidi Q-series and above the passive Bambu P1S and X1C. See layer cracking for what a chamber fixes.
- INDX toolchanger. Up to eight tools with no purge, on a desktop machine; the alternative is the Prusa XL or Bambu H2D dual nozzle.
- PLA with the door closed. Ventilation flaps cool the chamber for PLA rather than making you open the door.
- Open source and repairable. The Prusa promise, in a box.
Trade-offs
- 290 °C standard hotend; the 400 °C upgrade is a separate purchase.
- Price above the Bambu P2S and Creality K2 family for a smaller bed.
- Amazon US stock is thin and marked up; buying direct from Prusa is the norm.
Against the alternatives
The MK4S is the same electronics without the box; see MK4S vs CORE One. The Bambu X1C has lidar and a bigger ecosystem but a passive chamber; see CORE One vs X1C. A spare print sheet is the first accessory.
The units in the box
The listings are the CORE One+ assembled, the CORE One+ kit and the original CORE One kit. Prices on Amazon are typically above Prusa direct.
FAQ
