HMS 1A00-0100-0002-0027 means the machine tried to bring the toolhead back to the centre of the build plate, failed, retried, and failed again. Bambu asks you to move the toolhead to the centre by hand and continue. That clears the message; it does not explain why the move failed.
Do the manual move to recover the job, then spend five minutes on the cause so it does not happen on the next plate.

Where to buy
Recover first, as instructed
With the machine idle, move the toolhead gently to the middle of the plate by hand and click through. Push on the carriage rather than on the hotend, and do not fight any resistance you meet — resistance is the diagnosis, not an obstacle to overcome.
Then find the resistance
Run the carriage through its full travel by hand and feel for a tight spot. A binding point at one position is exactly what makes a move fail there and nowhere else. Look along the rails for debris, and clean before lubricating: grease over grit is worse than dry rails.
Then the belts
A slack belt lets the carriage lag behind the motor, so the move finishes short of centre and the machine knows it. What correct tension feels like, and how to check rather than guess, is in 3D printer belt tension.
What HMS 1A00-0100-0002-0027 has in common with the homing faults
Both are the machine failing to reach a position it expected to reach. The rack version is HMS 1A00-1100-0002-0002, and a blocked rack mid-move is HMS 1A00-0100-0002-0026. Seeing more than one of these on a machine points at motion rather than at the tool changer.
Why centring matters to a swap
The rack and the toolhead have to meet at a known point, and the centre of the plate is where the machine stages that. A swap attempted from the wrong position is a collision, which is why it refuses rather than approximating. The platform is described in the Bambu Lab H2D.
HMS 1A00-0100-0002-0027 FAQ
Is moving it by hand safe?
With the machine idle, yes, and the message asks for it. Push the carriage, not the hotend.
Can I ignore it if it clears?
Once, maybe. Repeatedly means a mechanical cause that is getting worse.
Could a stepper driver cause this?
It can, and that usually reports separately as a driver fault. Check mechanics first.
Does the plate position matter?
Only in that debris on the plate can obstruct travel. Clear it before retrying.
The same recentring failure happens on the way out as well as the way in: HMS 1A00-0100-0002-0036. Fixing the motion once clears both codes.
