HMS 1A00-0100-0002-0036 means the machine could not bring the toolhead back to the centre of the plate during a fetch, retried, and failed again. Bambu asks you to move it to the centre by hand and continue. That recovers the job; it does not explain the failure.
Do the manual move, then spend five minutes on the cause, because a motion fault that is ignored returns on the next plate.

Where to buy
Recover it as instructed
With the machine idle, push the carriage gently to the middle of the plate and click through. Push on the carriage rather than on the hotend, and do not force past resistance — resistance is the information you came for.
Find the tight spot
Run the carriage through its full travel by hand. A binding point at one position is exactly what makes a move fail there and nowhere else. Look along the rails for debris and clean before lubricating, because grease over grit is worse than dry rails. The platform and its motion system are described in the Bambu Lab H2D.
Then the belts
A slack belt lets the carriage lag behind the motor, so the move finishes short and the machine knows it. What correct tension feels like, and how to check rather than guess, is in 3D printer belt tension.
Why HMS 1A00-0100-0002-0036 blocks a fetch specifically
The rack and the toolhead have to meet at a known point, and the centre of the plate is where the machine stages that. A collection attempted from the wrong position is a collision, so it refuses rather than approximating. If homing is also incomplete you will see HMS 1A00-1000-0002-0001 alongside it.
Its nesting twin
The same failure during nesting is HMS 1A00-0100-0002-0027. One code per direction, one cause behind both, and fixing the motion once clears the pair.
HMS 1A00-0100-0002-0036 FAQ
Is moving it by hand safe?
With the machine idle, yes, and the message asks for it.
Can I ignore it if it clears?
Once. Repeatedly means a mechanical cause that is getting worse.
Does plate debris matter?
Yes. Anything standing on the plate can obstruct travel. Clear it before retrying.
Would a driver fault look like this?
It can, and it normally reports separately. Check mechanics first.
Motion faults also show up as overtravel rather than as a failed move. HMS 1A00-1100-0002-0003 means homing ran too far, and Bambu names the timing belt outright.
