HMS 0C00-0200-0002-0002 means laser too thick: the line the machine can see is wider than it should be. A wide line is what an out-of-focus or obscured beam looks like, so start with the optics in front of the laser rather than with any power setting.
Thick and dim are different complaints with different causes, and the machine distinguishes them for a reason.

Where to buy
Clean the optic, dry
A film on the window scatters the beam, and scattered light measures as a wider line. A lens pen with a carbon tip lifts that film without the smear a damp cloth leaves, and dry is the whole point: anything wet on a coated optic dries unevenly.
Blow before you touch
Grit on glass is abrasive, so wiping a dusty optic is how optics get scratched. A rubber bulb blower clears the loose material first, with no propellant and nothing to leave behind. Short squeezes from an inch away, not resting on the glass.
Wear the right glasses while you look
If you are going to run the laser with a panel open to see the line, use safety glasses rated for the wavelength your machine emits rather than whatever tinted pair is in the drawer. Rated means an optical density figure printed on the frame, and glasses sold for beauty devices are not the same thing.
Then check the surface you are measuring on
A glossy or uneven material reflects the line back distorted, and the machine reads that as thickness. Flat and matte gives an honest reading, the same requirement that defeats thickness measurement in HMS 0C00-0400-0002-0023. The calibration chart has its own code when it is dirty: HMS 0C00-0100-0001-000B.
How HMS 0C00-0200-0002-0002 differs from a dim beam
Too thick is geometry; not bright enough is energy. The dim case is HMS 0C00-0200-0002-0003 and it points at obstruction or a tiring diode instead. A line the machine cannot see at all is HMS 0C00-0200-0002-0008.
If cleaning changes nothing
Then the focus assembly or the diode is the remaining candidate, and that is a support conversation. Tell them you cleaned the optic and that the line is wide rather than dim, because those two words narrow it for them too.
HMS 0C00-0200-0002-0002 FAQ
Can I adjust focus myself?
Not on this assembly. Clean the optic and check the surface instead.
Is a thick line dangerous?
Not in itself, but a measurement taken from it will be wrong.
Why does it only happen on some materials?
Gloss. A shiny surface scatters the line and widens what the camera sees.
Do I need laser glasses for this?
If you observe with a panel open, yes, rated for your wavelength.
A weak signal is not always optical. HMS 0300-1B00-0001-0001 means the heatbed acceleration sensor signal is weak, and Bambu names the likely cause first: the sensor has come unstuck.
