HMS 07FE-8000-0001-0005 means the extruder switching limit angle has drifted significantly, and asks you to check whether the flow blocker is jammed or filament is stuck in the toolhead. Drift is the machine telling you the end of travel is no longer where it used to be.
Something is either in the way or has moved. Both leave a number you can measure instead of a feeling you have to trust.

Where to buy
Measure the gap you can reach
A feeler gauge set finds the clearance that has closed up behind the flow blocker. Thirty-two blades cost less than a spool of filament and turn a vague tight spot into a figure you can write down.
Record the dimensions before you change anything
Digital calipers let you note the position of the mechanism now, so that after cleaning you can say whether you restored it or merely moved it. Diagnosing drift without a before figure is guessing.
Measure movement rather than size
A dial indicator on a magnetic base is the right instrument for travel: clamp it to the frame, run the switch and read how far the mechanism actually goes. That number is what the error message is complaining about.
Then clean, remeasure and compare
Clear the toolhead, run the switch again and take the same reading. If the travel comes back, the obstruction was the whole story. If it does not, something in the mounting has moved.
How HMS 07FE-8000-0001-0005 differs from an outright block
A switch that cannot move at all is HMS 07FE-8000-0001-0001. Drift means it still moves and no longer stops where it should.
When the motor side says the same thing
A motor behaving abnormally reports HMS 07FE-8100-0001-0001. Measuring your way out of problems is covered in calibration cubes and printer tool kits.
HMS 07FE-8000-0001-0005 FAQ
How much drift is significant?
Enough that the firmware notices. Measure before and after.
Does it recalibrate itself?
It relearns the limit, but not if something is physically in the way.
Is this wear?
Usually debris. Wear drifts slowly over months, not days.
Which measurement matters most?
Travel, taken with an indicator. Size is secondary here.
Measuring beats guessing on the supply side as well. HMS 0700-9800-0002-0001 means the AMS power adapter voltage is too low, so the question becomes whether the brick or the cable is losing it.
