HMS 0300-0D00-0001-0002 affects the Bambu X1 series. Environmental vibration spoiled the homing measurement, and the cheapest fix is putting the printer on a solid level surface.
Short answer

HMS 0300-0D00-0001-0002 means the bed could not home because the environmental vibration was too great. The machine weighs a very light nozzle touch to find the bed, and any movement in the room at the same moment is added to that measurement. This is one of the few printer codes where the fix is usually in the room rather than in the printer.

Difficulty easy Time 10-30 min Parts usually nothing Tools Spirit level

Affected machines: X1 series. Homing and levelling use the force sensors under the bed, so they measure grams rather than millimetres. That precision is what makes touchless levelling possible and what makes it sensitive to the bench.

What HMS 0300-0D00-0001-0002 should cost: moving the printer to a solid bench is free, a hex key set is about 14 dollars, a tool kit 16 dollars, and a build plate 36 dollars.
Almost every case ends at the free bar. The rest only matter if the machine itself has something loose.

What counts as vibration here

Less than you would think. A desk that flexes when you lean on it. A washing machine on the same floor. Another printer running beside it. A person walking past on a suspended wooden floor. Any of these can put enough movement into the frame to spoil a measurement that is working in grams.

The other half is the machine’s own contribution. A printer standing on an uneven surface rocks slightly on three of its four feet, and that rock happens exactly when the toolhead accelerates. Levelling the stand and making sure all feet carry weight removes a surprising amount of this.

Symptom

Bed homing or levelling aborts and the printer reports excessive vibration

Most likely cause

An unstable bench, an uneven surface, or movement nearby during the measurement

The fix
  1. Put the printer on a solid surface that does not flex when you lean on it.
  2. Check that all feet carry weight and that the machine does not rock. Shim if necessary.
  3. Move anything that vibrates off the same bench, including other printers and filament dryers.
  4. Close the door and step away while homing runs, so that air movement and footsteps do not contribute.
  5. If the floor is suspended and bouncy, try running the calibration at a quieter time to confirm the cause.
  6. Re-run homing and watch whether it completes.

If it completes at a quiet moment and fails at a busy one, you have your answer and no part will improve it. A heavier bench or a paving slab under the printer is a legitimate fix that many people end up making.

The related measurement fault is external disturbance on a force sensor. Our pages on bed levelling and printers at home cover where to put a machine, and the troubleshooting index covers the rest.

HMS 0300-0D00-0001-0002 FAQ

Is something wrong with my printer?

Usually not. The measurement was spoiled by movement, and the machine told you rather than storing a bad result.

How solid does the bench need to be?

Solid enough that it does not move when you lean on it. A flexing desk is the most common culprit.

Can another printer beside it cause this?

Yes, easily, if they share a bench. Separate them or level while the other is idle.

Does closing the door help?

It removes air movement and makes people less likely to reach in, so yes, marginally.
