Short answer

The H2S is the H2D with one nozzle instead of two: 340 × 320 × 340 mm, 350 °C hotend, 120 °C bed, 65 °C actively heated chamber, up to 1000 mm/s toolhead speed. It is the Bambu machine for engineering filaments and large parts when you do not need purge-free dual material. Buy the H2D for two nozzles; buy the P2S if a passive enclosure is enough.

H2S or H2D

Identical chamber, hotend and electronics. The H2D adds a second nozzle, a slightly smaller shared dual-nozzle volume and laser editions; the H2S has a larger single-nozzle volume and costs less. If your reason for buying is nylon, PC, PPA or fibre blends, the H2S delivers the same material capability. If your reason is soluble supports without purge, or two nozzle sizes in one print, that is the H2D. See the H2D page.

H2S or P2S

The P2S is a 256 mm passive enclosure at 300 °C. It prints ABS and ASA well and PC and nylon adequately with dried filament and care. The H2S adds 84 mm of X, 50 °C of chamber temperature and 50 °C of hotend. If nylon or PC is a weekly material, the H2S is the correct step; if it is a once-a-year experiment, it is not.

Traps

  • Plates are not 256 mm; existing Bambu plates do not carry over.
  • Heated chambers dry the air; PLA overhangs need the airflow flap in low-temperature mode.
  • Hardened nozzle does not mean any filament: 350 °C is still below PEEK and PEKK territory.

FAQ

Is the H2S faster than the H2D? Same motion system; the lighter single toolhead can hold higher speeds on some paths, but flow is the real limit.

Can I add a second nozzle later? No.

Does the AMS 2 Pro need to sit inside the chamber? No; it sits on top, connected by tube.
