Four-colour printing used to mean an add-on box and a mid-range machine. The Kobra X puts it in the budget tier natively. The purge cost is unchanged, so this is about the price of entry rather than a different technology.

What “native” changes
On most multi-colour setups the feeder is a separate unit that sits beside or on top of the printer, connects with a tube, and costs extra. Native means the mechanism is part of the machine: one box, one power lead, one thing to set up.
Practically that means less desk space and fewer connections to go wrong. It does not change the printing. A single nozzle still has to flush the old colour before the new one, and that waste behaves exactly as it does on any other single-nozzle system. What you give up at this price
Speed and rigidity, mostly. The budget tier reaches four colours by making the colour system cheap, not by making the printer better, so compare the underlying machine as you would any printer at this money: frame, hotend temperature ceiling, bed size, levelling.
You also give up the enclosure, which means the materials list is realistically PLA and PETG. That is not a criticism at this price, but it does mean the colour capability and the material capability do not grow together.
Where it sits
Against other budget colour machines like the Creality K2 SE, the comparison is about the printer rather than the colour. Against the tier above, such as a CoreXY machine with a feeder, you are choosing between colour now and speed plus headroom later.
If colour is the reason you are buying, this tier does it. If colour is a nice-to-have on a machine you will keep for years, spending more on the printer and adding colour later usually ages better.
