Anycubic Kobra 3 Enclosure: Sizing a Tent Around a Bed-Slinger and Its ACE Pro

The Kobra 3 needs a fabric tent deep enough for its 250 mm bed at full travel, and a plan for the ACE Pro: either inside a wider tent or outside with the feed tube through a grommet. A tent lets the Kobra 3 print small ABS and ASA parts and blocks draughts on PETG. Keep the door open for PLA and stay under 40 °C; the Kobra 3’s electronics expect room air.
Enclosing a bed-slinger is always about depth, and the Kobra 3 adds the ACE Pro to the puzzle. The ACE Pro is a heated multi-material box that does not want to sit in a warm chamber, so the cleanest layout is the printer in the tent and the ACE Pro beside it with the PTFE tube passing through the wall. Generic tents in the Ender-plus size class fit the printer; measure the depth with the bed forward.

Using it
- PLA and PETG: door or vent open. A sealed chamber above 35 °C causes heat-creep clogs on a PTFE-lined hotend.
- ABS and ASA: close it, preheat with the bed at 100 °C for 15 minutes, keep part cooling low. Lifting means a cold chamber; cracks mean too much fan.
- Vent to a window or a carbon filter for ABS and ASA.
- Smoke detector above the enclosure, always.
FAQ
Can the ACE Pro go inside the tent? It fits in a large tent but runs warmer than designed. Outside with the tube through the wall is better.
Will the Kobra 3 print ASA in a tent? Small parts, sometimes. Not reliably.
Does the Kobra 3 Max fit the same tents? No; the Max is 420 mm and needs a much larger enclosure.
