HMS 0700-2000-0002-0013: AMS Feeder Motor No Signal

HMS 0700-2000-0002-0013 means the AMS A Slot 1 feeder motor is giving no signal, with poor motor connector contact or motor failure named as the two possibilities. Silence from a motor is a wiring story far more often than a dead winding.
Compare it with an overload code: that one means the motor is trying. This one means nothing is getting through.

Where to buy
Remake the connector rather than bending it back
A crimp that has loosened makes contact at rest and drops out under vibration, which is exactly how an intermittent becomes a permanent. A ratcheting crimping tool gives a joint with the same grip as the factory one; pliers do not.
Strip the wire without nicking it
A conductor nicked during stripping breaks a few hundred cycles later, inside intact insulation, and looks like a new fault. A self-adjusting wire stripper takes the insulation and nothing else.
Solder what cannot be crimped
Where a wire has broken right at a board pad, a temperature-controlled soldering iron is the only honest repair. A fixed-temperature iron bought for pennies lifts pads off AMS boards. What that board drives is described in the AMS hub guide.
Then test before you reassemble
Power up with the cover off and ask the slot to load. Watching the motor not move with a meter on the connector tells you in seconds what guessing takes an evening to establish.
How HMS 0700-2000-0002-0013 differs from an overload
An overload is HMS 0700-2000-0002-0012, and that means the motor is driving against resistance. This code means no signal at all, which puts the connector first on the list.
When other items in the slot are silent too
A sensor reporting the same way, such as HMS 0700-2000-0002-0007, points at a shared loom rather than two coincidental failures. The hardware differences between units are set out in AMS 2 Pro versus AMS.
HMS 0700-2000-0002-0013 FAQ
Can I swap the motor from another slot?
As a test, yes. If the fault moves with it, it is the motor.
Is this repairable at home?
The connector is. A failed motor is a service part.
Why does it come and go?
A loose crimp conducts until something moves. That is the signature.
Does the AMS still work?
Other slots do. That slot does not.
Position matters as much as condition. HMS 0700-2000-0001-0084 means the RFID tag is damaged or sitting at the edge of the antenna, and an intact tag in the wrong place reads like a broken one.
