FDM prints good tabletop miniatures if you accept layer lines under close inspection: a 0.2 mm nozzle, 0.08 mm layers, slow outer walls and tree supports get a 28 mm figure that reads well at arm’s length. The Bambu A1 mini is the best FDM machine for it because the auto flow calibration and quick-swap 0.2 mm hotend remove the tuning. For terrain, vehicles and bases, FDM is simply the right process; resin is for faces and display pieces.

Settings that matter
