Key figures for Anycubic Kobra Lineup: S1, 3, 3 Max, X and Which to Buy: 250 mm S1, 420 mm 3 Max, 320 °C.
Short answer

Kobra is Anycubic’s FDM family. In 2026 the current models are the Kobra S1 (250 mm enclosed CoreXY, 320 °C), the Kobra X (open bedslinger with native four-colour), the Kobra 3 Max (420 × 420 × 500 mm) and the outgoing Kobra 3. The Kobra 2 series and Kobra Neo are legacy. Pick S1 for enclosed and engineering filaments, X for multi-colour on a budget, 3 Max for size.

Pick by use

  • ABS, ASA, fibre blends, enclosed: Kobra S1 Combo. See the S1 page.
  • Multi-colour PLA on a budget: Kobra X or X Combo, Anycubic’s current answer to the Bambu A1 Combo.
  • Very large parts: Kobra 3 Max Combo. See the 3 Max page.
  • Discounted previous generation: Kobra 3 Combo. See the Kobra 3 page.
  • Legacy Kobra 2 or Neo: only used, as a tinkering platform; the current models cost little more new.

What the family shares

Klipper-based firmware, LeviQ auto levelling with a manual Z-offset step, and the ACE Pro heated feeder as the multi-colour path. The ACE Pro’s drying is the family’s standout; see drying filament. The family’s weak spot is spares and community depth compared with Creality and Bambu.

The units in the box

The listings are the Kobra X, the Kobra S1 alone and the Kobra 3 Max Combo bundle.

FAQ

Is the Kobra S1 the same as the Kobra 3? No; the S1 is enclosed CoreXY, the 3 is an open bedslinger.

Does the ACE Pro fit every Kobra? Only the Kobra 3 family and S1; check the listing for X and ACE 2 Pro pairings.
