Between $1000 and $1500 list you are buying one of three things: a large heated-chamber printer with its filament system included (Creality K2 Plus Combo, Qidi Max 4 Combo), Prusa’s open-source machines assembled or as a CORE One+ kit, or the Bambu H2S with its 65 °C chamber and 350 °C hotend. Most hobbyists are fully served at $1000; this tier is for engineering filaments at size, print farms, or buyers who want Prusa’s support and longevity.

Who should stop at $1000
Anyone printing PLA, PETG, ABS and ASA under 350 mm. The P2S Combo and K2 Plus already do that; see under $1000. This tier pays back for nylon, PC and PPA at volume, or for a workshop that values support contracts.
