HMS 0700-2000-0002-0026 means the AMS A slot 1 assist motor is overloaded because of excessive resistance in the filament tube between the AMS and the filament track switch. If you have not met a track switch before, that is because this code belongs to the machines that have one.
The switch is another junction, and junctions are where paths gain friction. This code puts you on the upstream side of it.

Where to buy
Renew the union at the junction
A straight PTFE union joins two lengths of tube with a continuous bore, and a worn one leaves a lip the filament catches on every pass. They come in packs for a few dollars and are the right thing to change first.
Keep the filament dry on a long path
An inline feed-through dryer sits in this run and keeps the filament dry between the unit and the switch. On a machine with more junctions than usual, swollen filament costs you more than it would on a short path.
Support the tube where it enters
A P-clamp assortment lets you hold the tube against the chassis a few centimetres before the fitting, so the fitting is not also acting as the anchor point. That is where the sharp bend forms if nothing else is holding the run.
Then compare the two switch codes
If the fault is really downstream of the switch, the message would say so. Take the segment it names at face value and leave the other half alone.
How HMS 0700-2000-0002-0026 differs from the downstream code
From the switch to the buffer is HMS 0700-2000-0002-0027. Between them they cover the two halves of a path that older units do not have at all.
What the equivalent is without a switch
On a unit without one, the same stretch reports as HMS 0700-2000-0002-0019. The hardware differences are set out in AMS 2 Pro versus AMS and the AMS hub guide.
HMS 0700-2000-0002-0026 FAQ
What is the filament track switch?
A junction that selects which path the filament takes.
Which machines have one?
The ones that report this code. Older AMS units do not.
Can I bypass the switch?
No. It is part of how the machine routes filament.
Is overload the same as a stall?
Close. The motor is drawing too much and gives up.
Connectivity has its own family. HMS 0500-0300-0002-000C is a wireless hardware error, and the signal the printer gets under a bench is not the signal your phone sees next to it.
