HMS 0300-9500-0001-0003 means the laser module is overheating. A diode laser turns most of its input into heat rather than light, so cooling is not an accessory on these modules: it is the thing that decides how long they last.
The module throttles or stops to protect the diode. Clearing the warning means improving how heat leaves it, not finding a broken part.

Where to buy
Give the module moving air at the right voltage
A 40 mm 24 V fan matches the supply a toolhead runs on, and 24 V matters here: a 12 V fan on a 24 V rail runs once and then does not. Check what the existing fan is before you order anything.
Make sure the heat can reach the heatsink
A thermal pad between the diode mount and its heatsink is often dried out or was never seated properly. A pad that has gone hard conducts almost nothing, and the fan then cools a heatsink that is not receiving heat.
Take the hot air out of the enclosure
An inline duct booster fan pulls the heated, smoke-laden air out of the work area instead of recirculating it. On a closed machine it lowers the ambient the module has to work against, which is the figure that actually matters.
Then watch the duty cycle
If the warning appears only on long engraves, it is thermal accumulation and extraction will fix it. If it appears in the first two minutes, the cooling path itself is broken.
How HMS 0300-9500-0001-0003 differs from a detection fault
A module the machine cannot see at all is HMS 0300-9500-0001-0006. Overheating means the module is present, working and too hot.
What else degrades laser output
A dirty lens is HMS 0500-0400-0002-0041 and reads as lost power in the same way. Requirements are in laser engravers and cooling in exhaust fans.
HMS 0300-9500-0001-0003 FAQ
Will it damage the diode?
Repeated overheating shortens its life. That is why it stops.
Can I just pause between jobs?
It works, and it is the slow version of fixing extraction.
Does ambient temperature matter?
Yes. A hot room makes every other margin smaller.
Is 12 V or 24 V right for the fan?
Match the rail you are plugging into. Measure if unsure.
Heat shows up at the nozzle too. HMS 07FE-A000-0002-0001 means the left nozzle cold pull timed out, which is the plug of softened filament refusing to let go of the melt zone.
