Saturn is Elegoo’s 10-inch class resin line. Buy new from the fourth generation: Saturn 4 (12K, standard lift), Saturn 4 Ultra (12K, tilt release, auto level, camera) or Saturn 4 Ultra 16K (finer pixels, slightly smaller plate). The Saturn 3 and 3 Ultra are fine used; the original Saturn, Saturn S and Saturn 2 are dated at 4K and 8K.
Uncured resin is a skin and respiratory irritant. Wear nitrile gloves and eye protection, ventilate the room or vent the printer outdoors, wash parts in IPA in a covered container, and fully cure before handling. Never pour resin or IPA wash down a drain.

What changed across generations
- Pixels: 50 µm to 14 µm. Anything from Saturn 3 onward is finer than paint shows.
- Height: the Saturn 3 Ultra had the tallest 260 mm Z; the Saturn 4 family trades Z for tilt release and speed.
- Release: tilt on the 4 Ultra is the biggest quality-of-life change since mono screens.
Which to buy
New: the Saturn 4 Ultra unless budget forces the plain Saturn 4 or the finest detail justifies the 16K. Used: a Saturn 3 or 3 Ultra is a bargain for anyone who does not mind manual levelling. Smaller parts and budget: the Mars 5 Ultra.

Do Saturn 3 vats and plates fit the Saturn 4? No; the 4 series changed the vat for tilt release.
